Babia Góra highlanders inhabit lands to the north of Mount Babia (Babia Góra). Most likely to be encountered in Zawoja and Skawica, their influence reaches Sucha Beskidzka and Maków Podhalański to the north, and the more distant Jordanów to the east.

Babia Góra highlander men have green parzenicas (parzenica – elongated heart-shaped embroidered ornament typically found on the front of the legs of traditional highlander costume trousers) embroidered on their trousers, and are primarily famous for their shepherding traditions. The redyk – traditional trailing of the sheep from the alms – followed by a folk music and dance party is an annual attraction, part of the September Babia Góra Autumn Festival in Zawoja.
